Camouflage is the first artistic collaboration of two artists who share similar values, creative approaches, and aesthetic expression despite their art is taking different forms and in different parts of Europe. While Julie is a photographer and Tereza a set/light designer and illustrator, they both like to create beyond their main field of interest.

Together they wish to join their creative skills and develop an interdisciplinary project which would lead to more outcomes in the future. By using photography, installations, lights, recycled materials, and natural elements, Camouflage seeks to reflect the symbiosis of humankind and nature.

The artists imagine the most diverse hideouts and mimicry where we can hide, feel good, and safe. They want to respond to the alarming voices of nature itself, as there are increased conflicts between it and human civilization.

The first outcome will be a site-specific exhibition which will react to the outdoor and indoor environment of Ankali. It is up to the visitors to seek hidden and curious installations. The exhibition will be accompanied by a Zine as a graphic imprint of the spatial art pieces.

The exhibition is created as part of the residency PRAŽÍRNA AB3 and with the kind support of OCA – Office for Contemporary Art Norway.
