Levon Vincent

Mutuju

fleika & Higgins

To ignite the year at Ankali we invite the dub house lord Levon Vincent to play the Archiv Teknologi party along with the usual suspects Mutuju, Fleika & Higgins.

The Berlin-based dj and producer has been refining his distinctive sound for a decade and a half, most notably via his own Novel Sound as well as Deconstruct Records – labels that outline a sonic and personal backdrop to his music. A milestone on his journey was the album titled Levon Vincent released in 2015 [when he also played a memorable set at Polygon]. On the album Vincent remained faithful to the DIY ethos of his work and created a record that echoes the unconcealed simplicity of early US house synth work and takes it to the industrialized dungeon of dark and heavy European techno with flashes of sincere feelings. A witness to the heterogenous nightlife of pre-9/11 New York, Vincent at the DJ booth is a relentless genre-bender and goes way beyond the normalized.

Warming up the floor will be Mutuju, an eclectic selector with penchant for rusty house, proto disco and black tekno, who also happened to be opening for Vincent back in the summer of 2015. The closing set will be secured by Fleika & Higgins, two djs repping Polygon and Cukr crews, both shaped by the recent wave of spatious, acidic & hypnotic techno.
