Next up in the Soft Spot series we invite the vox master Virginia from Berlin, joining her will be local heads Eva Porating and Mutuju.

Since 2012 Virginia has been one of the formative voices behind the far-reaching ecstatic sound of Panorama Bar, not only as a dj but as a vocalist as well – beside her own production Virginia collaborated with Steffi and Dexter [to name a few] and in her dj sets [one of which she’ll be delivering in Ankali] she creates an idiosyncratic space of impromptu vocals and impeccable selection.

Warming up the floor for her will be Mutuju, a regular at Ankali with penchant for african-tinged house and early disco. Closing the night will be Eva Porating, a Prague-based sonic explorer who draws from UK bass and organic dance trax to wonderful results.

We are afraid we have some sad news for you. Virginia has had a severe concussion last week, we were hoping for her quick recovery, but she has been advised by her doctor not to play this weekend.

We will definitely get her to play at Ankali, but only after we’re sure she’s healthy and safe to do so. In the meantime, the party must go on, so we have spent last night looking for a proper replacement. And we have found one! Berghain resident Boris with a special house set. That’s definitely something not to miss.
