Noise Kitchen Farewell: A celebration of live improvisation and collaboration.

Noise Kitchen celebrates its death and rebirth, the connections made throughout our time in Prague, and further back in time to the project’s inception in Brno, with a live music event 12 hours long and (quite literally) jam-packed from start to finish.

We begin in Ze Mě:

Joining will be the NK team: Loops of Decay, Aras, Lotus Wash, Freddie Hudson — perhaps a few other names too. We’ll have to see together; while each act will enjoy time playing solo, the emphasis on this part of the night is on morphing live jams, collaboratively making music with respect to others’ sound spaces. Expect ambient textures, but for things to get bumpy along the way. Rough set times will be presented on the day, get down early to enjoy it all.

In the Ze Mě / Planeta Za garden we will be hosting a small vinyl and tape sale with any remaining stock from the shop. Other merchandise will also be available in limited quantities.

12 hours is a long time to dance and socialise, so we’re working on supplying you with great food to help you keep your stamina up.

This is Noise Kitchen Farewell — but not goodbye. Noise Kitchen is evolving and this is less like a sad death, more like a moment of rebirth. We’re looking forward to ringing that moment in right with you all.

If you don’t know us already, Noise Kitchen is a community-driven store and workshop space dedicated to electronic / electro-acoustic / experimental music, sound art, and DIY culture. We are closing our premises on the 29th October.
