Ankali x Lunchmeat
Lunchmeat Festival takes a trip to the other side of the river to launch its 17th edition with a special joint evening at Ankali, to celebrate abstraction and embodiment in sound, presenting Tati au Miel’s fierce noise live set in collaboration with MUTEK Montréal, as well as Matthew D. Gantt’s ever exciting colorful sonic world and 3C 273’s eclectic DJ set.
A DJ, producer and audiovisual artist, Tati au Miel will be exploring noise, post-rock, drone and ambient, giving a glimpse of their upcoming album. They previously released music on PTP and Halcyon Veil and performed at multiple venues and festivals, including Berlin’s transmediale, NYC’s MoMA Ps1 and MUTEK.
Matthew D. Gantt’s music has a distinctive, colorful, dynamic physics, and is released on @orangemilkrecords and @oxtailrecs and performed at MUTEK Mexico, Ars Electronica and Pioneer Works, among others. Visual artist and composer 3C 273 focuses on organ playing, but for this time, she’s diving in another sonic practice of hers, DJing, with seamless blends of eclectic experimental music with pop sensibilities.
Tati au Miel’s performance is co-presented by MUTEK, with the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.
