A few years back, Barnt’s ultra-reduced vision of club music took the scene by a gentle yet sturdy storm. On Friday February 15th he’s finally playing Ankali along with local adventurers Eva Porating and Mike.H & Not_me.

Barnt has cut his teeth via his own label Magazine he co-founded in Cologne, and which serves him as a home turf for the extremely focused, tongue-in-cheek and almost primitive ritualistic grooves crafted with German precision. Since his formative EPs he’s released on Coméme, Nachtdigital, Mule and Holger, and remains one of the most exciting & eclectic selectors out there, who constantly nails it with the most basic ingredients that constitute club trax: a bass drum, a synth stab, a percussion hit.

Local support will be provided by Eva Porating, a latest addition to the roster of Ankali residents, as well as Mike.H and Not_me, who run the party series Seed focused on restrained club sounds and much more.
