Planeta Za

Something new has emerged behind our walls. Habitable, yet uninhabited. A planet out of orbit, searching for its sun. An endless playground. Collectively shaped.

Planeta Za is born as a response to the times we live in, out of the necessity of a switch in the collective mindset. Things are moving too fast; we speed up, catch up, move on, always short of breath. We want to pursue a slower rhythm in a world that moves too frantically to be grasped, to defy nowadays’ hunger for progressive speed. We need to pull the break and pay attention to the glimpses of beauty around us.

Musically, we want to step out of the norm and explore new realms of sensorial experience, aiming to redraw the boundaries of nightlife. To innovate with a complete disregard of genres or traditional limitations. To reach far into outer space. We want to foster listening sessions, live sets, concerts and other sonic expressions from diverse voices that drift away from the dancefloor-oriented profile we’re too used to, upholding the value of a focused experience of music.

Our new little planet is a celestial object with an identity of its own. An open environment with a drive towards experimentation in music, arts and culture. We are expanding in size and scope. Stepping out of the musical sphere, our approach is interdisciplinary: workshops, talks, exhibitions, markets, performances… everything goes.

We want to inspire and be inspired. To foster togetherness and create community. Thus, we are joining forces with inventive minds around us to reach a bigger collective potential. The studio of Radio Laude is opening its doors just a few steps away, and they won’t be the only ones. Expect a micro-cosmos of like-minded individuals building a unique atmosphere of unbridled creativity.

In times of social atomisation, we want to bring back the musical experience as an emancipatory act deeply rooted in conviviality. We want to time-travel back to the years when the most primitive nature of sound would bring us together instead of keeping us apart. To gather around a fire, being one to the beat, short of small talk.

Forget about the conventional formulas that have been used so far. Join with your full presence. Feel with the entire intensity of your being. Prepare for landing.
