Gravity Prague #1 [live]:
Hiro Kone
Oblaka
Rabih Beaini
The kick-off event of Gravity Prague #1 on Wednesday evening with three live performances.
Hiro Kone is a project of Nicky Mao, New York-based musician and producer who will bring her visceral meditation on rhythm, noise and melody to Ankali’s main floor. Her shape shifting sound, often released on DAIS and Bank Records, takes a deconstructive turn and utilizes synthesis, noise and field recordings, while exposing the unsettling and the sublime.
Before releasing his new LP, the Prague-based Gravity artist Exhausted Modern will perform live with his always-progressing sound under a new moniker Oblaka.
Originally from Lebanon and strongly tied to the European music scenes Rabih Beaini has built a reputation as one of the most forward-thinking musicians, DJs and curators in the modern experimental and electronic scenes. His musical practice is shaped by a strong interest in exploring the traditional, while always moving forward.
