Radio Labe is about to take over Pluto at the upcoming ½ Weekender, so we had a chat with Nevinnost, sex.changes and Høll about rivers and radios, after we met with the whole gang for a little game of pétanque.

A lot of you have probably heard about the relatively new club and hangout hotspot in Brno. Word gets around quickly, especially when it concerns a cool place like Vitamin. Some of you might not heard much yet, since the crew behind keeps it off the grid to some extent. We spoke with a few members of the collective running Vitamin to get a peek behind the curtain, discussing their approach to programming, promotion and some more.

Coming up with a good title for any project is really not an easy task. From my own experience it often ends up leading to going insane. A good name doesn’t necessarily mean good quality, but its potential to intrigue, express originality and agency of the subject, or capture any substance at all, remains untapped too often.

Almost all parts of our building are quiet at the moment. Dormant, waiting. Closed until further notice. However, one of the rooms of Planeta Za emits sounds on a weekly basis. Those sounds are coming from the studio of Radio Laude, our new ‘tenants’, who since moving into their new home during summer have been running a diverse online broadcast every Sunday. Claudia Franco has visited the Laude boys and wrote about their origins, ideas and future intentions.

Those familiar with Prague’s electronic dance music scene have probably heard the name XYZ Project already. More attentive individuals perhaps even follow the group’s activities on a regular basis. Even though I would put myself into the latter category, and though I have been getting to know almost all the guys step by step over these last few years, it has still been quite difficult for me to define what they’re actually doing.

Stepping out of the beaten path requires something, whether it is blind faith or just guts. Above all, it shows determination and passion for what is done. That’s exactly what has characterized Raphael Kosmos and Exhausted Modern, the genre-bending minds behind Endless Illusion. For 8 years they have pushed the boundaries of the local electronic music scene, making themselves a name and creating a space for like-minded people. We sat down with them to talk about the path they have walked these years, where they’re standing now, and what’s yet to come.
