Mala Junta, the tight-knit international crew known for their fabulous fast-paced nights at dancefloors of the European electronic mecca, is back to Ankali on October 13. As always, we’re beyond chuffed to welcome D.Dan, who’s bringing a duo of first-timers to our smokey booth – Why Be and Yazzus. Pacing things differently in the Listening Room will be Martyyna and New Magic Media.

Together with Mala Junta we have decided to donate 50% of the earnings from their upcoming event at Ankali to the following humanitarian campaigns: Urgent Relief for Gaza’s Children and Gaza Emergency Appeal. The donations will provide for Gaza’s civilian population with medical care and essential supplies.

Our hearts ache witnessing yet another vicious attack inflicted on civilians in Gaza, which has been frequently dubbed as the ‘biggest open air prison in the world’, following investigations from the UN Special Rapporteur and Amnesty International.

Understanding that all lives lost are indeed a tragedy, we want to emphasize the importance
of addressing the historical causes for the current state of this humanitarian crisis, which is displaying characteristics of genocide, and clear enactment of further war crimes, which have been perpetuated against the Palestinian people for decades.

In May 2021 we initiated a 2-day streaming event titled Transmission 4 Palestine, aiming to give visibility to the issue and foster donations to humanitarian NGO’s providing medical care to the most vulnerable to the violence during the 2021 bombing of Gaza. A second edition, extended to a physical event including music and discussions, is planned for early 2024.

We understand our choice to support this specific cause might raise some questions. To explain a bit more about our intentions and the thinking behind the decision, we are re-sharing the material we have put together for the 1st edition of T4P, where we delve into more detail.
