“It’s the second night of the Ankali anniversary and i find myself at the door again. A little bit after midnight, the main floor is packed, which makes me happy, but i’m pushing myself through the crowded narrow corridor to find out that my favorite sauna aka Planeta Za has already been warmed up and even hotter.

10 minutes into their set, DJ count and MCs GOLEM and sxilence (aka CC CREW) are high on fire (or high on grime?). I mean this is what i came for, but I still had not expected what was coming. This is one full hour of nonstop energy rush, insane UK-style riddims being dropped by count one after another, with sxilence and GOLEM delivering totally unrivaled bars on top. Sharp political commentary naturally mixing with quirky memetic humor, in three different languages!! But no matter if this new grime scene is blossoming in Brno, Bratislava, or Palermo, all i know is that i’m experiencing the birth of something that will never come back again in the same shape or form, but it will definitely come back even stronger.”
