Gabrielle Kwarteng is a deep digger with a wide-lens approach: she fluidly slips through heady 80s and 90s NY house, disco that traverses diaspora and eras, percussive passages alongside boldly broken beats and, as the lights get lower, an undeniable acid undercurrents. Leaning heavy on percussion, stomping four-four, saturated and stabby mid-sections, her sets are warm and upbeat … her sets bang, that’s what we’re trying to say.

Gabrielle is joining the December edition of Yuggadus, along with former “Wildt bouncer” and ambassador of the now-defunct venue, Unjack. Alfred Czital and Yan have been covering their Yugga shifts separately in the past year, but for this one, neither won’t miss.
